The name Cocobana was inspired by the four words Corals, Coconuts, Bananas and Cabanas. It opened in 1992 and is the first resort in Malapascua Island. The Resort is located right at the snow-white Bounty Beach. The fine sandy beach offers plenty of space to relax and sunbathe. An easy slope invites for snorkeling and scuba diving in the lagoon, for adults and kids alike.

Accommodation

The spacious Resort consists of 23 Beach Cottages and 4 new Super-Deluxe-Aircon-Rooms in a two story house. 17 Beach Cottages are equipped with fan, shower and toilet. 6 Beach Cottages have Aircon and hot water and the 4 Super-Deluxe-Aircon-Rooms are further equipped with refrigerator and TV. In each bungalow, there is a balcony where our guests can enjoy the sunset.

The 27 Cottages and Rooms belong to different categories and prices.

The Cottages called Sea View are directly at the beach. Those which we call Limited Sea View are located between the Cottages from the first Row but a little bit in the back.

The two Garden Cottages offer space for maximum 2 persons. All other Cottages and Rooms offer sufficient space for maximum 4 persons.

4 spacious Super-Deluxe-Aircon-Rooms (42m²) with big balcony and limited seaview. Split type aircon, cold and hot water, fridge and satellite TV. Definitely an excellent deal for your money on Malapascua Island. Super-Deluxe-Aircon-Rooms

Between the Cottages and the Super-Deluxe-Aircon-Rooms, is a generous Garden. With much love and hard work of our team, nature and color are merged to the Resort.

Due to the island’s location, television reception by satellite is not always guaranteed. Depending upon the weather some international stations are disturbed and occasionally not available. It’s just another reason to enjoy the beaches and dive sites in Malapascua.

Dining

In addition the Resort has an excellent restaurant with national and international dishes. The various breakfast in our Beach Restaurant is well appreciated and well known over the national borders!

The Sunset Beach Bar is located in the center of the Resort. This is where our guests meet to have a cool drink and enjoy the sunset over the sea.
